With recent controversial events, there are three basic opinions regarding Donald Trump: Those who HATE Trump, those who love Trump, and those in between.
I went onto Google and typed in various Trump “themes”. I must have gone through more than sixty sites and postings. All but one were negative. Well that’s conclusive, right? If there are so many sites and media outlets that hate Trump, then that’s it. Trump is bad, end of story. However I knew he had previously won a medal from Jesse Jackson for hiring the most minorities including Blacks, so I wasn't buying it. Especially the Racist charges.
Now one of the most powerful forces in the universe is the Human Ego. And it is especially powerful and impenetrable when it is attached to hatred. So the question I had when Trump was running for office was, “Is Trump really that bad? The next Hitler? The warmonger and tyrant who is a narcissistic sociopath? The quintessential Racist and Bigot?

I confess I was still “Left” leaning at the time, although I was an Independent. The Trump hatred grew and grew and all the mainstream media I saw said nothing but very very bad things about him. That did not sit right with me, since it was so over the top. I have also known for years that the media are the most notorious liars, so I did not buy into it. Interacting with Trump haters only confirmed my suspicions, since all the arguments I received were vacuous at best, and so easy to refute. And many got angry and even hateful when the lies were addressed.
Sure he was crass and crude sometimes, and abrupt. He was definitely NOT a politician. People say they hate politicians but that is not true. They love politicians who are charming and charismatic, even if they have murderous and unspeakably cruel foreign policies. I have noticed, for example, that many people who quite rightly protested Bush’s three wars did not lift a finger to protest Obama’s seven wars. Very very interesting. It was as if they did not care at all about the hundreds of thousand of lives that were lost, but were actually protesting the President they did not like. To me that was an unbelievable and unacceptable double standard.
I had a great conversation as a Buddhist, years ago with a Christian friend I worked with on a few animated shows. This was years before Trump ran for office. We were talking about good and evil, and how it is sometimes difficult to tell which is which, especially since Evil is often presented as good and Good is often presented as evil.
“Jesus was asked that question once.” He said. “Oh yes?’ I replied. “What did he say?” “He said, “By their fruit, ye shall know them.”” Well that makes so much sense, I thought. My friend went on. “You know when you have a tree, and it is a fruit tree but you do not know what kind of fruit tree it is? Well you plant it in the soil, and wait. It will tell you by the fruit it bears.”
Well, we have fruit. This “murdering Hitlerian warmonger” Trump had no wars. He is the only president in recent decades that refused to go to war. He refused to massacre hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, while the other presidents were more than happy to. What I found especially disturbing is that when mentioning this to Trump haters—this extremely important fact, all those human lives— meant nothing to them. That was shocking. There is nothing more significant than taking life or the not taking of life. That type of uncaring for human life is quintessentially Sociopathic and even Psychopathic. Wow. Obama had seven wars, and many people were executed in the most cruel fashion—during weddings, or while children rode busses and were massacred……and this fact about Obama meant nothing to the Trump haters.
The above would have never happened under Trump.
What else?
This “racist bigot” Trump executed a Prison Reform that released over 5,000 black men who were unjustly incarcerated under the previous administrations! This “bigot” also created opportunity zones in minority neighborhoods that allowed minorities to start their own businesses. Furthermore This “racist” donated more money to black colleges and universities than any other president. What is more interesting is that none of these things mean anything to the Trump haters, to the Democrats, the very people who claim to be advocates for Blacks and other Minorities, and many who claim to be Pro peace.
This “evil Narcissist” also made the biggest crackdown on Human and especially child trafficking, when the other well loved presidents and candidates and politicians did not lift a finger to stop this, and many actually benefitted from this 150 Billion dollar a year horror.
This most hated Trump got rid of Isis so quickly it was like a bump in the road, While beloved Obama actually funded and admitted in a speech that he “trained Isil forces”. And who was Obama’s avowed political mentor? Zbigniew Brzeziński, who can be seen in a video rallying the MujaHideen saying “Your cause is just, and God is on your side”. Very clearly supporting Terror.
Trump is also accused of being a “Russia colluder”. Well it turns out that the Mueller Report states on Page 173, volume I that there was no evidence of Russian Collusion. This is actually in the report! What is even more interesting is that Bill and Hillary Clinton freely admitted to giving Russia and Putin significant amounts of weapon grade Uranium, for which they received a 145 Million dollar “donation” to the Clinton Foundation, 111 Million of which came from ROSATOM, the Russian Nuclear agency. And yet to the Democrats there is “Nothing to see there”.

Regarding open Borders. According to RFK Jr, ten million people from 165 countries (many of them enemies of the United States) have come through unchecked in the last three years, AND are being paid for on our Tax dollars, while many legitimate immigrants are trying to become legal citizens but have to wait in line. An orchestrated Foreign Invasion. Certainly NOT orchestrated by Trump. So who are the election meddlers really? Take a look at the third image below and ask yourself which party these people will vote for. And it’s interesting that these “Trump Crime” trials happened so close to the election. What were the crimes again? Falsifying Business Records? When the chief witness for the prosecution is a convicted liar and perjurer?
The one Democrats call "Hitler" overseeing the Abraham Peace Accord (above), the greatest step toward peace in the Middle East in 75 years.
I would say I am witnessing the most drastic and the clearest example of inversion perhaps in history. Where supposedly good, peace loving and just people become the opposite. How does this happen? Among avowed pacifists?
It is a good thing that it is against the Law to murder in this country. I would fear for all the Trump supporters. I noticed in the years 2016-17-18 many Trump supporters were beaten bloody and some even killed. I also noticed that the mainstream media hardly covered it, and none of the violence I saw was instigated by Trump supporters. This included an eighty year old man having been beaten by a young man simply for wearing a MAGA hat and for carrying a Trump sign. (The riots around the country that resulted in the burning and destruction of hundreds of billions of dollars of property and a large loss of human life were all by Democrats! All because of the murder of one man. Those people that were killed and the businesses and property that were destroyed had nothing to do with Floyd's killing! And there is absolutely no self reflection by the Democrats for these atrocities. Brings me back to that statement "By their fruit ye shall know them")
And to anyone with just a little reason, can see that Jan 6th was a False Flag Operation, executed by Trump haters and ANTIFA, disguised as Trump supporters in order to discredit the one President who refused to be a mass murderer. Security and police allowed these people in the Capitol. That was video'd. It was then discovered that there were over 200 undercover FBI in the crowd. What were they doing? There were also CIA agents. What was the CIA doing in a domestic affair?

The whole thing might be a show, for all I know. An elaborate staging of both sides. That is not the point here, however. The point is these are things that have happened. And people have been so easily fooled because of hatred.
Whatever happens going forward, I will say that Trump taught me one thing I will never forget: The Democratic Party is not at all what I thought it was. Nor are its supporters. That is the kindest way I can put it. Beating up and even killing Trump supporters, voting for mass murderers, creating unspeakably violent and cruel riots, with more killing and mass destruction, all the while claiming to be just, and claiming to oppose killing and violence. You can not make this up!!
People can be good and kind, but if one is easily misled into this kind of hatred and refuses to change course....You are no longer a good person.
However, you, we, can wake up.

In Buddhism, an evil path can be left for a good path. However the longer one remains on that evil road, the more it becomes you, and the more difficult it becomes to change.

SUMMARY:
* Everything the Trump haters have accused Trump of being: "Hitlerian" "Racist" "Bigot" etc. He did the opposite of.
* The other Presidents actually did what Trump was accused of doing--creating wars, targeting opponents and people of "colour", colluding with enemy countries, election interference....
*Many people who believe their are on an "Enlightenment" road so easily jumped on the hate bandwagon, not just pointing fingers, but at the wrong candidate. Looks like your are not on the "Enlightenment" road you thought you were on.
* To the haters: Have the decency to question and even DUMP your media outlets. You are being lied to, in very despicable ways.
What is the solution?
It is as easy as it is difficult. It is genuine dialogue. Between people of opposing opinions. People who are haters almost never agree to genuine dialogue, however, because it involves listening intently to your opposition. In Buddhism, Listening is the path of a truly wise person. Hatred (as opposed to anger) is not the path of the wise.
The unwise will look at a narrative that opposes their view, read a few lines and say "This is nonsense I am not going to read this crap!" In a conversation you will hear them constantly interrupting their opponent, even walking away and maybe even not speaking to them again. Having not heard the whole argument.
That is ego, the greatest poison of our time. The one political group that exemplifies this poison poses itself as the righteous entity. It is not.
